CR-T1261 : Support for the Deployment of Public Procurement of Innovation

Strengthen the capacities of the Ministry of Finance, in particular the Public Procurement Directorate, and related purchasing and control entities in the procurement process to implement open innovation policies and procurement methodologies that stimulate business innovation and at the same time improve the provision of public goods and services in Costa Rica. Specific objectives are: (i) exchange of experiences in Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) with Latin American and European Union (EU) countries; (ii) design operating regulations, PPI guidelines and request for proposals and contract models applicable to PPI; (iii) knowledge generation by supporting the design and monitoring of a PPI pilot in the country; and (iii) systematization of lessons learned through specific training and workshops.
