Panama and Venezuela
Gustavo Tarre Briceño is the Executive Director at the IDB for Panama and Venezuela. Before joining the IDB, he served as Ambassador of the Interim Government of Venezuela to the Organization of American States. He was a deputy to the National Congress of Venezuela for four periods and was a Professor of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of the Central University of Venezuela and of Political Science at the Simón Bolívar University for 27 years. He was Senior Advisor of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC and Advisor of the Human Rights program of the Inter-American Dialogue. He is a lawyer, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela with a postgraduate degree in Public Law from the University of Paris II and in Economics and Finance from the Institut International d'Administration Publique de Paris.
