Christina Kölldorfer is an accomplished international development professional currently serving as Alternate Executive Director for Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Spain and Sweden at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Prior to her appointment to the Board of Executive Directors in 2022, Ms. Kölldorfer was an Advisor at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, focusing on Austria’s multilateral development cooperation through international financial institutions. In this role, she managed relationships with multilateral development banks (MDBs) such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Ms. Kölldorfer worked extensively on cross-cutting issues including gender equality, governance, humanitarian aid, security, and fragile states, contributing to policy development and representing Austria’s interests in these critical areas of international development. She also brings valuable private sector experience to her role, having previously worked as a Senior Investigator at a leading global investigative firm in London. In this capacity, she conducted international due diligence and fraud investigations, further broadening her expertise in governance and financial integrity issues.
Ms. Kölldorfer holds a Master’s degree in International Conflict Studies from King’s College London and two Bachelor’s degrees in International Development and Romance Studies from the University of Vienna. Fluent in German, English, and Spanish, she brings a wealth of international experience to her role, having worked and studied across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Her expertise spans areas such as development economics, political economy, and global governance of conflict and security.
