DR-L1030 : Boulevard Turístico del Atlántico Toll Road

The Project has the following objectives: a) together with the NHP toll road, it will create a direct connection between the capital and the Samaná peninsula; b) it will reduce the travel time and distance between Santo Domingo and Samaná from 5-h to 1:45 h; c) it will allow for increased daily movement of visitors and tourists between Samaná and the Southern part of the island including the capital, and allow for a better connectivity with other touristic key spots such as Punta Cana; d) it will trigger economic development in the region by improving communications between producers, traders and final consumers in the Samaná peninsula, and also by engaging small and medium enterprises in services related with the Project during the construction and operation phases.
