Fernando Barbosa is an economist who works with the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE). Fernando achieved success with well-established institutions in Latin America, such as the Brazilian Development Bank’s Pension Fund (Fapes/BNDES) and Itaú Unibanco—the largest financial conglomerate in the Southern Hemisphere. He recently interned as Product Manager in a software engineering team at an impact-driven Fintech in Washington, DC.
After spending over 10 years in macroeconomics, finance and social impact business, Fernando understands how markets operate in the nexus of public and private sectors. Besides that, he has been using cutting-edge technologies to deliver innovative approaches to his strategical insights.
Fernando holds a STEM designated MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, as a merit-based Prospanica fellow.
