Parliamentarian Forum on MfDR
Congress plays an important role in the region where most of the countries have strong presidential regimes, demanding consistency and coherence in terms of planning and budget.
The Parliamentarian Forum on MfDR, launched in April 2006, has a very specific and robust program that supports parliamentarians in the region, gathering chairpersons and members of Budget and Finance Committees, to discuss topics of interest, exchange ideas, and share best practices.
So far, more than 250 senators and house representatives (including 52 chairpersons), Secretaries and advisors for Budget, Treasure and Finance or from equivalent entities from 35 countries, have participated in the Parliamentarian Forum. This is a close Forum and is headed by a President and three Vice Presidents.
