What we do
Using financial and non-financial instruments, we leverage investments and scale innovative solutions to tackle migration challenges in the region, contributing to the successful integration of migrants to their host communities.
Why we do it
Large and sudden intraregional migration flows have become an emerging development challenge in Latin America and the Caribbean, creating a potential development crisis in already vulnerable migrant recipient communities. If addressed properly and with the urgency needed, this crisis could not only be avoided, but also become a development opportunity for the whole region
How we do it
Using financial and non-financial instruments, we leverage investments and scale innovative solutions to tackle migration challenges in the region, contributing to the successful integration of migrants to their host communities
Financial instruments: Using our Grant Facility, Regional Public Goods, and technical assistance, we leverage investments in projects that support a comprehensive migration and development agenda in the region.
Non-financial instruments: We promote a comprehensive migration agenda through regional policy dialogues, research, data collection, and the training public officials and technical specialists from public and private institutions in the region.
