The Bank tailors its debt instruments to investors’ specific needs for assets and liabilities, mobilizing millions of dollars in resources from international capital markets to finance loans. Each year, the IDB Group issues over US$ 5 billion in AAA bonds that are well received in the market.

Investors can buy IDB bonds, co-finance private projects, underwrite syndicated loans and participate in funds that finance market-based solutions for low-income populations.

Instruments available

  • IDB bonds: The Bank’s treasury handles all bond sales by the IDB. The Bank tailors debt instruments to investors’ specific needs for assets and liabilities, mobilizing millions of dollars in resources from international capital markets to finance loans. Each year, the IDB Group issues over US$ 5 billion in AAA bonds that are well received in the market.
  • Co-financing and underwriting: The IDB Group is a key partner for micro, small, medium and large-size companies and banks. The Bank offers financing opportunities for companies and financial institutions, access to grants and consulting and procurement contracts.
  • Opportunities for the Majority: this initiative allows businesses and investors to participate in funds that finance market-based solutions for low-income populations.
