The IDB Group works closely with universities, think tanks and other research institutions and values them as key partners for development. The generation and dissemination of knowledge is a fundamental part of our development mission.

We welcome partnerships with universities , to promote knowledge creation and sharing, and learning opportunities.

Some of the opportunities and resources we offer are:

The IDB’s Research page contains a wealth of development-related information pertaining to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Numbers for Development, the IDB’s open data portal, showcases socio-economic indicators for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Publications is the Bank’s knowledge repository. We encourage you to download, use and redistribute all the Bank’s publications, for any non-commercial purpose.

Courses is the Bank’s gateway to open learning. We offer a variety of online and face-to-face courses and programs in key development issues.

The IDB also promotes learning through:

University student groups interested in learning about Latin America and the Caribbean development issues can request briefings at IDB’s headquarters. Requests should be sent to at least one month in advance of the preferred visit date. Due to high demand, the IDB cannot guarantee an organized visit to all requests.

College students and recent graduates interested in internships and professional opportunities should check the Bank’s careers webpage.

One of the best ways to stay up-to-date on the latest news from the IDB is through the Bank’s communities, which include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and our blogs.
