Social Protection and Health Network

The Social Protection and Health Network is constituted by Vice-ministers and Permanent Secretaries in charge of social and health policy in Latin America and the Caribbean. The network offers a forum in which the countries can analyze common challenges and share experiences and lessons learned from policies and programs in terms of social protection and health policies and programs.

The main propose of thisnetwork is to identify opportunities for technical cooperation between the Bank and countries of the region. In the context of the IDB’s Ninth General Capital Increase (GCI-9), the network will support one of the Bank's institutional priorities: contributing to the design and implementation of social policies for poverty reduction and increases in regional productivity.

The network finances annual meetings in which its representatives analyze y discuss critical topics identified through the constant dialogue between the Bank and its member countries.
