Climate Change Network
The Climate Change Network is constituted by high level policymakers responsible for the climate change agendas in the Latin American and Caribbean countries. The purpose of the network is to promote a high-level policy discussion between senior policymakers in the region and IDB’s specialists.
The Network focuses on two lines of activity: (i) ongoing and new efforts by national governments in the region to launch climate change strategies and programs, and incorporate (mainstream) climate change mitigation and adaptation measures in key economic sector activities; and (ii) the integration of climate change into development policy in borrowing member countries.
Some of the topics covered in the network’s activities include: (i) best practices for climate-resilient coastal development and (ii) existing international financing for climate change initiatives, including national policy for low carbon development, as well as best practices in the areas of water management, forest resources and energy efficiency.
