(average of the national extreme poverty lines converted to dollars using 2011 PPP a day)

– Multiples of international extreme poverty line

USD 3.1 * 1.6 = USD 5 (the same relationship between lines USD 2.5 and 4 at 2005 PPP)

USD 3.1 * 4 = USD 12.4 (the same relationship between lines USD 2.5 and 10 at 2005 PPP)

USD 3.1 * 20 = USD 62 (the same relationship between lines USD 2.5 and 50 at 2005 PPP)

Concept of household income

It includes the labor and non-labor income of all household members, and excludes taxes whenever possible, and the

implicit income from own or occupied housing. It does not have imputations for missing, zero or outlier income in addition

to those already contained in the databases provided by the national statistical offices. Also, it has no adjustments for

regional price differences.
