AR-T1325 : Climate Change and Green Innovative Strategies For The Development Of Metropolitan Areas

Objectives. The objective of this TC is to support the preparation and execution activities of the DAMI II (AR-L1243) and DAMI III (AR-L1363) Programs, as well as programs with similar specific objectives, considering mitigation and adaptation measures to climate change and the aspects of innovative green strategies for the development of Metropolitan Areas. To this end, in addition to the studies carried out, the project will seek to strengthen the technical and management capacities of the Ministry of Territorial Development and Habitat (MDTyH), the agency responsible for both programs. Specific objectives. The specific objectives of this TC are: (i) contribute to the development of metropolitan projects with climate change adaptation and mitigation considerations by generating tools and climate models that consider the particularities of each region of the country; (ii) guide the actions of DAMI II towards the fulfillment of the commitments assumed by Argentina in its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) regarding climate change adaptation and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions based on innovative strategies adapted to the country, and include these aspects in the design of DAMI III; (iii) develop environmental and economic sustainability strategies for DAMI III interventions; and (iv) strengthen the management capacities of the technical teams implementing DAMI III in response to the country's climate change, gender and diversity challenges.
