Priscila Vera Jibaja

Priscila is an economist with extensive experience conducting policy-oriented analytical work in several fields and contributing to project design, implementation, and evaluation in Latin America. She has collaborated in the public and private sectors as well as international organizations.
Before joining OVE, she collaborated as a Research Consultant in the IDB Research Department. She worked as a Research Analyst at the World Bank in Education, Social Protection, Health, Poverty, and Macroeconomic divisions. She co-led the impact evaluation of Ecuador’s Housing Incentive System for the IDB. In the public sector, she led the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard Certification design for the IPE -Institute de Estudios Petroleros-. She also worked with the Chamber of Commerce in Ecuador, analyzing and comparing the tax system across Latin America. She has collaborated and been the author of published studies, including books, journal papers, and articles.
Priscila holds a master’s degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Johns Hopkins University. She has a double Bachelors' degree in Economics and Finance with double minors in Political Science and Literature from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
