Lucero Vargas Reyes

Lucero joined OVE in 2021 after working as an Applied Data Fellow in the philanthropic sector in Chicago. She previously spent 5 years working at the Ministry of Education in Mexico, assessing and monitoring educational projects for upper secondary education students. During her time at the Ministry of Education, she studied the factors that lead to better student academic performance and designed strategies to reduce school dropouts and improve teaching practices.
Lucero holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Quantitative Methods from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
