Lina Pedraza joined the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) as a Research Fellow in July 2018. At OVE, she has participated in the Citizen Security Sector Evaluation and the Country Program Evaluations of Colombia, El Salvador, and Bolivia, evaluating mainly the Bank’s social sector operations. Before joining OVE, Lina worked as an evaluation leader at the National Planning Department (DNP) in Colombia where she led the design and development of evaluations of social programs, and policies of science technology, and innovation. Prior to her work at the DNP, she worked for 3 years as a Junior Researcher at the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, where she studied the coffee industry and the social and economic situation of the coffee growers in the country, evaluated the organization’s policies and collaborated in the design of a subsidy for the coffee-growing families.
She earned a master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia.
