Gunnar joined the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) in March of 2020 as Economics Senior Associate.
Prior to joining the IDB he worked as an evaluator at the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) as well as at the World Bank’s Environment and Natural Resource GP and the German KfW. Throughout these positions he worked extensively on the assessment of several financing instruments (e.g., guarantees, budget support, green bonds) as well as climate and energy related topics. Gunnar holds a master’s degree in international economics from the University of Gõttingen and has lived and studied for 2.5 years in Argentina, Brazil and Portugal.
