Anais has more than eight years of experience working on social policies in developing countries. She joined the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) as a Research Fellow in July 2020 and has participated in the Citizen Security and Justice Sector Evaluation, the Jamaica Country Program Evaluation, as well as the report on the Implementation of OVE's Recommendations by Management. Before joining OVE, Anais previously worked as an analyst at the Economic Research Division of the Central Bank of Mexico, where she focused on the labor market in Mexico including the impact of social policy on the labor market. Anais has also worked as a consultant for IMAGO Global Grassroots and a Mexican NGO where she was engaged in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of social programs such as social protection, education, agriculture, and electoral policies.
Anais holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and International Development from Harvard University and holds a double Bachelors’ degree in Economics and Political Science from the Instituto Teconológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
Recently, Anais co-founded an NGO, Hacedoras, which supports, connects, and empowers Latin American women who work in public policy to close the gender gap observed in leadership positions throughout the region.
