Inter-American Development Bank changes date of CFO appointment

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced that the effective date of Gustavo de Rosa’s appointment as General Manager of the Finance Department and Chief Financial Officer will be postponed from November 1, 2014 to January 31st, 2015. De Rosa’s appointment was announced in July 2014. This postponement reflects the current workload at the Office of Risk Management as it continues to develop the Bank’s new Capital Adequacy Policy.

IDB opens Human Resources Service Center in Costa Rica

The center is the first IDB corporate-wide infrastructure placed in Latin America and the Caribbean and it will allow the Bank to increase its country focus by building organizational capability in its country offices.

IDB confirms strong support for Barbados and announces new Country Strategy

The Board of Executive Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank announced today the approval of the Country Strategy with Barbados for 2009-2013, affirming the IDB’s commitment to partner with the Government of Barbados on some of the country’s most important development priorities. Sovereign-guaranteed lending is expected to be around $200 million over the five-year period and net cash flows from the Bank to Barbados are also expected to be positive in all years.
