A panel of experts will gather at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on Friday, April 24, to discuss how multilateral institutions and policies adopted by advanced economies can help Latin America and the Caribbean face the effects of the current global financial crisis.
The seminar “The Global Crisis and Latin America and the Caribbean: Views from Washington,” will feature Lawrence Summers, Director of the White House National Economic Council, as the keynote speaker. Andrés Velasco, Chile’s Finance Minister is among the panelists in the event.
