The president of the Fundación Consejo España-Estados Unidos and the vice chairman of The Trilateral Commission, Antonio Garrigues Walker, will speak Monday, June 24, at the Inter-American Development Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C., on “The European Union and the Latin American Social Agenda.”
The address, one of the Bank’s Forum on the Americas series, will take place at a luncheon, to be held from noon to 2 p.m., in the 7th floor Las Americas dining room at Bank headquarters at 1300 New York Ave. N.W. IDB President Enrique V. Iglesias will introduce the speaker.
Garrigues, president of J. & A. Garrigues in Madrid, is also World Lawyer for the World Peace Center.
His talk will address ways to improve European and Latin American cooperation on issues such as education, economic and social development and fighting poverty and corruption.
