The Inter-American Culture and Development Foundation (ICDF) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Iberoamerican General Secretariat (SEGIB), and the Department of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of the Organization of the Ibero-American States (OEI) will hold the forum, “The Presence of Ibero-American Culture in the United States: Building a Common Agenda”, on October 27-28, 2010 at the IDB Headquarters in Washington, DC. The event is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of Spain and the National Counsel for Culture and Arts (CONACULTA) of Mexico.
The inaugural session will take place on October 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will be open to the general public. The speakers include Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the IDB; Enrique V. Iglesias, General Secretary of SEGIB; Sari Bermúdez, Chief Executive Officer of the ICDF; and Jorge Delkader, General Director of the Education and Culture Planning of the OEI.
