The purpose of the forum is to create a community of practice among academics, NGOs, policy makers and other stakeholders, and to review five country-specific studies (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru) being conducted by the IDB.

The online forum is available from August 10-27 and is organized around specific themes each week: education and health (August 10-15); economic opportunities – access to jobs and financial markets (August 16-22); and enabling environment – media and justice (August 23-27).  The Closing Session will be a Webinar slated to take place on August 31.

The findings of the forum will be discussed in the seminar “Advancing Equality” scheduled to take place at IDB Headquarters in Washington, D.C. on September 14.  The seminar is open to the general public, but space is limited.
