Round table discussion on the risk of reprisals in development finance with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other relevant actors

More than 40 representatives of international financing institutions (IFIs), independent accountability mechanisms (IAMs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) participated in a round table organized by MICI with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, on the management of reprisals in the context of development projects. The discussion used the publication recently launched by MICI on the same topic as a reference.

CDB and IDB independent accountability mechanisms and CPDC jointly host accountability outreach in Barbados

CDB’s Office of Integrity, Compliance and Accountability (ICA), IDB’s Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) and the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC), jointly hosted an interactive outreach workshop for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Barbados.

Meeting with civil society organizations and mediators in Argentina

As part of its Access Promotion strategy, MICI recently visited Argentina to meet with members of civil society, mediators and representatives of indigenous peoples. Representatives of 30 civil society organizations participated in a workshop organized by RACI and MICI, while 90 mediators from the province of Salta participated in a training workshop on environmental and social conflicts.
