Summary of the Request
The Request alleged that the construction of the Metrobus in Asuncion will generate a negative impact on the inhabitants of the capital of the Republic of Paraguay who are permanent users of Eusebio Ayala Avenue.
The Requesters argue that there is no transparency, the project lacks a final design and none technical-economic feasibility studies have been done or, if they exist, they are unaware of how to access this information and get to them.
Recent actions
On March 18th, 2016, the MICI granted 10 business days to the Requesters to submit additional information required for processing the Request (paragraph 20 of the MICI Policy).
The due date for doing so was initially set to April 1st, 2016, however due to the fact that there are several official holidays in the Region during this period of time, an additional 5 business days have been granted. The due date is now April 8th, 2016.
Upon completion of the extension period, the MICI Director determined that the Request could not be registered given that the Requesters had not provided the information requested. The Requesters were notified of this decision and invited to file again once they had the required information for registration.
