Summary of the Request
The Requesters claim that the cadaster and measurement of areas forming part of the Project might be causing damage to their property and livelihood, by violating their rights to property, use of community territories and access to natural resources. The Request also claims that the Project did not generate consultation or social communication processes on the benefits and effects that the land titling process would have on communities within the Project's area of influence.
Recent actions
On August 18 2017, MICI terminated the administrative processing of the Request to allow the Requesters the opportunity to establish contact with the Project Team and seek to first resolve their concerns directly with this team.
The Requesters were informed of the possibility of re-filing the Request with the MICI, in the event that they consider their concerns to not have been addressed by the Project Team within a reasonable period of time.
