The Program to Support the Leadership and Representation of Women (PROLEAD) is the IDB’s main initiative to promote the civic and political participation of women in Latin America and the Caribbean. The program seeks to increase both women's access to decision-making positions and their effectiveness in power, in order to strengthen democratic processes and institutions in the region.
Emerging Women Leaders of the Public Sector strengthens the leadership and influence capacity of middle management women in public sector entities in the region. The Program has been implemented in the Dominican Republic, Panama and Peru.
The PROLID Network is an online platform to connect and promote exchanges and learnings among women who occupy or aspire to leadership positions in the public sector in Latin America. Currently, it has more than 57,000 followers.

Gender and Political Parties in Latin America (GEPPAL) is a database that maps the women’s situation within political parties in Latin America. It builds on a series of indicators with objective information drawn from the analysis of official sources and interviews with leaders of the political parties with greater parliamentary representation in different countries.
