About IDB Lab Forum
Without innovation, it is very difficult for Latin America and the Caribbean to activate new engines of economic growth and employment, close its large social gaps and face environmental challenges. Innovation requires coordinated public and private actors to create ecosystems where entrepreneurs can thrive.
This year, IDB Lab, the innovation arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group), celebrates its 30th anniversary as it evolves into the first innovation hub for development in our region.
IDB Lab Forum, the IDB Group's flagship event on innovation and technology for development, is a key space in this evolution.
IDB Lab Forum 2023 will be held at Hotel Hilton Corferias (Carrera 37 No. 24 29) in Bogota, Colombia, on June 13 and 14 and is a high-level international meeting where entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, and accelerators, among other players in the innovation ecosystem, gather to seize business opportunities, discover trends, identify talent, foster partnerships and launch new initiatives.
IDB Lab Forum will focus on financing solutions and the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems to promote innovation and technology that improve people's lives. It will address cross-cutting issues of gender, diversity, climate, and biodiversity.
This year, WeXchange, the pioneering platform in Latin America and the Caribbean that promotes female entrepreneurship in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) areas, will be part of the agenda. During the event, fifteen top entrepreneurs in the region will pitch their companies to investors.
