ONLY FOR STAFF MEMBERS
The Family Planning Benefit consists of financial assistance granted by the IDB Group to a staff member when planning to add a child to their immediate family through adoption, surrogacy, or reproductive assistance, regardless of the outcome of these endeavors. As of March 1st, 2020, the authorized lifetime cap for reimbursement of eligible expenses is up to US$15,000.

If two staff members are employed by either the IDB or the IDB Invest and both are eligible for this benefit, only one spouse may claim benefits.
(i) Agency and legal fees related to the adoption process or (ii) agency and legal fees of surrogacy, or (iii) costs of fertility medications, testing and diagnosis, as well as Assistive Reproductive Technologies that are not eligible for partial or full reimbursement through the Medical Benefits Program.
