Gallery of the IDB Cultural Center

The IDB Cultural Center Gallery has existed since 1992 at the Bank's headquarters in Washington, DC. Its purpose is to address the Bank's development issues through the lens of creativity and culture in multidisciplinary exhibitions featuring contemporary artists from Latin America and the Caribbean.

We create immersive, participatory exhibitions and commission artists to create site-specific works. For each exhibition we develop a program of public events or Gallery Talks to dive deeper into the topics of the exhibitions in conversations with artists, curators and the Bank’s specialists. The exhibitions and cultural events are intended to inject creativity and inspire the public, influencers and future decision makers with innovative and creative solutions to on-going development challenges.
