OVERVIEW
The IDB’s strategy seeks to promote Nicaragua’s inclusive social and economic development through initiatives to overcome barriers to growth related to infrastructure and to narrow the urban-rural divide in terms of poverty and access to services. It seeks to improve basic health conditions and early childhood care by expanding and improving services; and improve basic productive infrastructure, particularly in the energy and transportation sectors. Moreover, the strategy will also support efforts to build institutional capacities.
*The portfolio includes all sovereign guaranteed projects financed by all funds of The Bank, including the IDB Grant Facility, which are in the stage of implementation.
