CORPORATE RESPONSE

BUSINESS CONTINUITY

As the COVID-19 outbreak progresses, the IDB Group has implemented a series of measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families, while allowing us to continue our business in Latin America and the Caribbean.

WE ARE WORKING REMOTELY

Since March 16th, and until further notice, every IDB Group employee located in Headquarters and our 28 Country Offices is working remotely to mitigate the advance of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

All business travel, meetings, and/or in-person workshops are canceled.

We have encouraged our employees to hold virtual meetings and migrate all courses and training to online software so we can continue developing our professional skills.

We have been able to guarantee business continuity and the timely fulfillment of our commitment to our clients, vendors, and other partners thanks to the technology and processes available in our organization.

SUPPORT TO OUR EMPLOYEES

To protect the health of our employees and their families, the IDB Group has a Health Services Center who is working remotely and tending to cases related to COVID-19. Our center follows the approved IDB Group protocol and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

As a measure to keep our employees’ physical wellbeing, our Fitness Center staff offers four daily online classes with workouts they can do from home. We are aware this situation may cause stress or anxiety in our employees, which is why we have an Employee Assistance Program, to provide personalized and confidential counseling in these difficult times. Moreover, we are distributing digital resources on how to handle stress and anxiety in times of crisis and social distancing.

CONSTANT COMMUNICATION

The IDB Group activated a communications protocol because we want to keep our teams informed. This protocol includes:

Continuous monitoring of the COVID-19 outbreak from official sources in each of the countries we operate.
The creation of a specific COVID-19 focused page in our intranet which is updated daily with all the measures taken.
Information that can help employees understand the situation and give an appropriate response to the evolution of the virus.
