Executive Director
Eliot Pedrosa represents the United States on the Board of Executive Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Inter-American Investment Corporation/IDB Invest. He was appointed by President Donald J. Trump and confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Pedrosa practiced law for twenty years, focusing on international dispute resolution and financial institutions. In private practice, Mr. Pedrosa chaired the Miami litigation practice of a global law firm, representing clients in commercial matters throughout the Americas, spanning a wide range of industries including finance, defense, logistics, infrastructure, healthcare, technology and media.
Mr. Pedrosa is a graduate of Harvard Law School and has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Florida International University, where he graduated summa cum laude. While at Harvard, Mr. Pedrosa served as a research assistant at the Harvard Institute for International Development, focusing on legal reform in Central America.
Mr. Pedrosa also recently served as the Chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Stephen J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University, Vice Chairman of the Florida Third District Judicial Nominating Commission, and on the Board of Directors of the Zoo Miami Foundation.
