Mr. Søren Elbech, was appointed Chief Risk Officer in the Office of Risk Management (RMG), effective September 16, 2023.  

A dual citizen of the United States of America and Denmark, Mr. Elbech was the Managing Director and Global Head of Supranational Institutions at J.P. Morgan in New York since January 2019.  Previous to this role, he was the first Director General/Treasurer of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Beijing, China, from December 2016; Senior Vice President of a global firm specializing in sustainable wind energy from 2014 to 2016 in Washington, D.C., and IDB Treasurer and Chief of the Treasury Division in the Finance Department from 2007 to 2014.  

Søren holds an Executive MBA from the ESCP Business School in Paris, France, and an Executive MBA from the BI Norwegian School of Management in Oslo, Norway.
