Carolina Serra

Carolina Serra, a citizen of both Brazil and Italy, has had a distinguished career in human resources at Itaú Unibanco S.A. From 2002 to 2011, she worked at the head offices in São Paulo, Lisbon, Miami/Caribbean, and London. In addition, she worked strategically with the bank’s units in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. In 2011, Ms. Serra became the Vice President-Head of Human Resources for New York/USA and Mexico, where she led human resources strategies and services, including talent recruitment and management, career development, leadership development, compensation strategies, benefits, policies, and processes. Her career has focused on human resources development, cross-cultural leadership, strategic business partnerships, and the successful translation of business and human resource strategies into the design and implementation of HR programs.

Ms. Serra holds a Master’s degree in International Employment Relations and Human Resources Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in Human Resources Management, from the Superior School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM), São Paulo, Brazil. She has also done postgraduate studies in Business Administration at the Institute of Education and Research (INSPER) in São Paulo, and has a Coach Certificate from New York University (NYU).
