Eligible Activities

The GMF will support activities that enhance gender mainstreaming throughout the project cycle; improve the availability and quality of technical support and analysis of gender issues; and strengthen institutional mechanisms. The Fund will directly support the new IDB Strategic Framework and Policy on Gender Equality (approval estimated the second semester 2006) and the IDB Gender Mainstreaming Action Plans. In addition, it will support activities that contribute to achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

Activities, under the following components, are eligible for funding:

  1. Technical Support for Gender Mainstreaming
  2. Institutional Strengthening and Outreach
