Several organizations provide training in the preparation and use of health accounts. While we do not necessarily endorse any particular program, we provide information for the benefit of potential trainees.

Organizations
Instituto Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Planificación Económica y Social (CEPAL-ILPES) The mission of Latin American and Caribbean Institute of Economic and Social Planning, part of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC/CEPAL), is to act as the central ECLAC body for training, and in this role to contribute to the dissemination of the work of the ECLAC System.  It's program centers around organizing courses, conferences, seminars, and experts´ meetings on multi-sectoral topics.
Fundación Mexicana para la Salud (FUNSALUD) This private non-profit organization offers training and research stipends and awards. It also sponsors a variety of training events in the region.
Harvard International Health Systems Program - Training IHSP Training Program's mission is to strengthen the capacity of health system practitioners from middle and lower income countries to improve the performance of their health systems. IHSP courses blend theoretical knowledge, practical tools, and hands-on practice in using those tools.
INDES The Inter-American Institute for Social Development is the IDB's program for sharing knowledge with policymakers, that offers a variety of courses on-line as well as in Latin American and Caribbean countries.
PAHO Training Program in International Health  The PAHO Training Program in International Health aims to strengthen the capacity of institutions in the Region and the Member States to (i) analyze the international factors that affect their health situation; (ii) design innovative policies using international experiences and mobilizing its political, financial, and technical resources; (iii) relate effectively with organizations within the international system and participate in the definition of their action agenda; and (iv) develop cooperative relations, projects, and networks among professionals and institutions in the Region.
World Bank Institute (WBI) The WBI offers a wide variety of learning programs, evaluation activities, knowledge sharing activities, partnerships, publications, electronic discussions,   B-SPAN (videos on the web), TV documentaries; and scholarships programs.
World Bank's Flagship Program on Health Sector Reform and Sustainable Financing Training program that provides intensive, state-of-the-art knowledge and training on options for health sector development and best practices, to policymakers and development partners. The next two-week training program for Europe and Central Asia will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on June 14-25, 2004.
