Updates From the LAC Health Accounts Steering Committee

August 2002

Venezuela has had several prior studies of health expenditure and financing. A recent study comprising of estimates for 1998-99 was supported by ECLAC. Venezuela is interested in further exploring and developing health accounts using the SHA and SNA 1993 concepts and classifications.

Venezuela National Accounts Data - IMF/GDDS The IMF General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) provides economic, financial and socio-demographic metadata submitted by participating countries. Current statistical practices of each country are described, together with their plans to improve their statistical systems.  Presently, 13 Latin American and Caribbean countries participate, including Venezuela.
