Updates From the LAC Health Accounts Steering Committee

August 2002

Argentina has recently published two health accounts reports. One produced health accounts estimates combining the NHA/Harvard and OECD SHA frameworks (ISALUD). Another, using a combination of SNA and SHA concepts, classifications, and methods (including input/output matrices), presented estimates for 1997 as the base year and projections for the year 2000 (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and National Statistical Office). The latter was developed with support from the World Bank, with technical assistance from PAHO.
