Interdepartamental Group on Participation and Civil Society (GIPSC)


In may 2000 the Bank created the Interdepartmental Group on Participation and Civil Society, known as the GIPSC, to consolidate the various mechanisms in use at the Bank?s Departments to approach participation and civil society in the activities of the Inter-American Development Bank, in an efficient and timely manner. The GIPSC is coordinated by the Sustainable Development Department (SDS) and includes the Regional Operational Departments (RE1, RE2 and RE3), the Office of the External Relations Advisor (EXR), The Office of the Presidency (PRE/PCY), the Office of the Executive Vice-President (EVP) and the Office of the Vice-President for Planning and Administration (VPO).
