I Virtual IDB Seminar: Education and Technology
This CD-ROM captures the materials and discussions form the IDB first virtual seminar on Education and Technology. The purpose of this Seminar was to provide a better understanding of technology options meeting the education and training objectives of Bank projects and programs. Topics included on this CD-ROM range from the role of mass media (radio and television) in distance education, to potential uses of computers and interconnectivity (Internet) to the economics and evaluation of both distance and computer education. Case studies are drawn from across the region, and included radio education in Venezuela, televison education in Mexico and Brazil, and computers in education in Costa Rica and Chile.
