The meeting will take place within the framework of the Banks seminars on financial sector and development and regulation. It will bring together banking supervisors, and representatives of central and private banks as well as multilateral organizations. The purpose of the event is to consolidate the institutional dialogue between the public and private sectors and to discuss issues of risk management in the context of -Basel II- regulation and its impact on the financial industry in Latin America and the Caribbean. Discussions will center on four main topics: i) Risk Managements Industries and Regulatory Developments, ii) Challenges Implementing Risk Management, iii) Cross Border Management and Consolidated Supervision and, iv) Corporate Governance
The event will be held on June 30th, 2006 at the Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center, IADB Auditorium - Level A3 1330 New York Ave., NW, Washington D.C., 20577.
