This study addresses an issue that governments must frequently tackle: What to do with Public Rental Housing (PRH)? The document presents the international experience with PRH, analyses the difficulties it faces and proposes alternatives to improve PRH. These experiences and conclusions may support the decision-making process of governments that are considering employing PRH as a means of dealing with social housing problems.
