Ever since it was founded in 1998, PROLEAD has recognized that in order to help support strong articulate women leaders who will contribute to shaping policies in Latin America and the Caribbean, emerging leaders need information-exchange and support networks as well as learning environments where they can examine best practices and improve skills. Under its Networking and Institutional Strengthening component, PROLEAD aims to facilitate connections among women and women's organizations, as well as to strengthen women's skills and the institutional capacity of organizations in the region.
