Rebeca Grynspan
Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Director of UNDP's Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ms. Grynspan is the former Vice President of Costa Rica. An economist from the University of Costa Rica, she has pursued studies in Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. She holds a Masters degree in Economics from Sussex University, England. She is the former Deputy Vice-President of Costa Rica and Housing and Human Settlements Secretary. She was Treasury Secretary from 1986 to 1988. She has been a professor at the University of Costa Rica. She is a prolific writer and researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones de Ciencias Económicas de Costa Rica.
