Actions should be taken on behalf mothers and infants as well as projects that help prevent abusive child labor and dysfunctional behaviors, such as criminal activities, drug and alcohol abuse, and domestic violence. The Social Development Division in the Bank has undertaken special initiatives to reduce violence in the region.
