About Us
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Division (MSM) of the Inter-American Development Bank is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Bank's strategy in relation to micro, small and medium enterprises. The objective of the Bank's strategy is to promote the conditions necessary for the growth and development of these businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean:
- A favorable and competitive policy and regulatory environment
- Strong and sustainable institutions providing financial and non-financial services
- Expanded and continuous flows of resources from local and international markets
- Improved access for low-income entrepreneurs to formal sector services and resources.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Division will implement the strategy by facilitating sharing of information, experiences, and technical know-how; by providing technical assistance to local institutions; and by publishing research on innovative policies, projects and programs.
