Internet Economy

Welcome to the ICT Internet Economy portal.

The IDB’s activities in this area stretch from enhancing e-commerce and e-business (and their mobile variations) capabilities in the region to the development of IT-based Small Businesses and of e-banking services.

The Bank envisions supporting the development of the digital economy in Latin America and the Caribbean mainly by:

-ensuring that adequate conditions are met for the New Economy to flourish in the region

- extending the outreach of the New Economy to include hereto marginalized sectors of the economy
