Inter-Agency Group on Rural Development

The Interagency group (IADB, IFAD, World Bank, FAO, IICA, ECLAC, USAID and GTZ) is a regional network created at the IDB Annual Meeting in New Orleans (March, 2000) with the purpose of complementing the activities of financial, technical and bilateral agencies through: the generation and exchange of relevant information related to rural development in Latin America and Caribbean; identification of policies and investment instruments, new approaches and successful experiences of rural development; and the implementation of joint projects of training, technical assistance and investment in a national and regional level.
