Programa BID-GTZ sobre Energías Renovables y Eficiencia Energética en Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Taller de Introducción para América Central y México
The IDB has embarked on a three-year partnership program with Germany to enhance understanding of the opportunities provided to LAC by renewable energy and energy efficiency, and thereby to increase the flow of projects in this area supported by the Bank. To this end, a workshop was held in San Jose Costa Rica on August 29, 2005 to explore these issues in the context of Central America and Mexico. The workshop provided an opportunity to (1) introduce the IDB/Germany program, (2) discuss its relationships to other activities in the Central American region, and above all (3) discuss and gain better understanding of the needs of the countries in that region.
